전통적 소재인 한지, 삼베, 모시를 주로 사용하여 현대적으로 표현하고자 한다. My practice centres on traditional Korean materials — hanji, hemp, and ramie — and I seek a contemporary voice for them.

재해석 하는 방식으로는 점, 선, 면을 활용한 패턴으로서의 이미지 도출과 기하학적 형태의 외형으로서 표현해낸다. 곱선이 주는 유함과 우아함, 정적임보다는 직선에서 오는 리듬감과 활동성이 더욱 매력적으로 느껴진다. I reinterpret them as images of pattern — drawn from points, lines, and planes — and as geometric outer forms. Rather than the softness and grace of curves, the rhythm and energy of straight lines is what I find more compelling.
